Specifications include, but are not limited to: Little Rock is the State Capital as well as the largest city in Arkansas. It was chartered in 1835 and is in the central part of the state, approximately 135 miles west of Memphis, Tennessee. The city has a population of 193,524 with a total operating budget of approximately $276,766,000. This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the City of Little Rock to vendors who are authorized to do business in the State of Arkansas and who are qualified to provide demolition of commercial structures. The City of Little Rock is continuing its efforts to remove deteriorated/dilapidated structures from within the city limits. These structures are unsafe and dangerous thereby endangering the community and neighborhoods surrounding them. These dwellings and/or structures are in an advanced state of deterioration that occupancy cannot be permitted. The owners of these properties have received proper legal notice to either rehabilitate or remove the structures themselves. 3.1 Goal A. The primary goal is to improve the Quality of Life for the citizens of Little Rock that currently live within communities with large quantities of these types of properties. It potentially could contribute to the reduction of crime and illegal activity. 3.2 Terms of Award A. This bid shall be awarded, on an all or none basis, to the lowest qualified bidder who meets all specified requirements. B. The contract term shall be a one (1) time purchase. 3.3 Items A. Demolition and removal of condemned commercial structure located at: 4500 Asher Avenue Little Rock, AR 72204 Approximately 5,550 SF 3.4 Outcomes Desired A. For the vendor to be highly professional when conducting business. B. For the vendor to meet the scheduled timeline of the project and resolve any issues quickly. C. For the vendor work to limit the amount of damage that may occur to property or personal belonging. In the case of damage to property or personal belonging the vendor is proactive in repairing or replacing the affected items.
