Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Provide in-person consultation/services at the Vermont Veterans’ Home (VVH) o 8 hours bi-weekly dentist services o 8 hours bi-weekly hygienist services • Schedule will be coordinated with VVH scheduler or designee. Advanced notice required should schedule need to be changed. • Provide all needed equipment to complete services. o Facility will provide physical space for services to be completed. • Verify coverage and seek third party reimbursement for services provided. o Preference will be given to contractors credentialed with Optum and experience working with the VA office of community care. o If not credentialed with Optum, contractor will be expected to do so as soon as reasonably possible. In the interim, the contractor will work with the VVH scheduler to receive prior authorization from the VA Office of Community Care for services. • If a Veteran or Member does not have any dental insurance coverage, the contractor shall provide an estimate for cost of services to the VVH CEO or COO for prior approval. • Communicate with the nursing staff regarding individual dental needs and provide education as needed.
