Specifications include, but are not limited to: NHDES is seeking the services of a qualified engineering firm to perform a condition assessment of the gates, hoisting systems, and electrical controls; provide recommendations for repairs upgrades or replacements needed to ensure that the gates can be reliably operated; and design and prepare the plans, specifications and bid documents for the construction and installation of the needed repairs, upgrades and replacements. Firms must demonstrate extensive professional experience in the engineering evaluation of electrically operated gate systems for dams, including electric motor hoisting systems, electrical control systems, and propane‐powered emergency generators; and the design, preparation of construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates and bid documents for the construction and installation of these features.
