Specifications include, but are not limited to: D.Mowing& Trimming1.During growing season, mowing is required. During the off-season, mowing will be requested as needed. 2.Turf/Grass areas mustbe mowed to a height of not less than two (2) inches to avoid scalping of the grass. 3.Turf/Grass areas inaccessible to mowing machinery mustbe trimmed as needed to a height consistent with the mowed turf. 4.Mowing and trimming around all fixed objects, including but not limited to grave monuments, curbs, fences, signs, bridges, and trees, mustbe done carefully so that damage does notoccur. Any damages mustbe reported immediately. 5.Mowers mustnot be allowed closer than six (6) inches of any monument. 6.The Cemetery Park Sexton or designee will inspect the property after each mowing cycle. Services mustbe provided until satisfactory.7.When the grass is not actively growing or needing to be cut, as determined by the Cemetery Park sexton, cycles shall not include mowing or trimming of the turf/grass. 8.All rotary-type mowers mustbe equipped with skirt guards to restrict foreign objectsfrom being thrown out from the cutting unit enclosures. 9.When a mower of any type is being moved from one site to another under its own power with the mower unit raised, the PTO shaft for the mower unit mustbe disengaged. 10.The vendor must weedall flowerbeds/planting areasevery other cycle during the mowing season. E.Edging1.Edging of all walkways and curb areas mustbe performed with an edger with a line diameter no larger than .095 inches. 2.The vendor muststring-trim to aconsistentheightwith the adjacent mowed area all structures including, but not limited to, steel edging, rock edging, accent rock, walls, signs, fences, trees, bed edgingandany area not accessible bymower.F.Trimming1.Hedges and qualifying shrubs, as identified by the Cemetery Park Sexton, shall be sheared throughout the entire term to maintain a desirable shape and appearance, as determined by the Cemetery Park sexton. G.Soil & Reseeding1.Soil significantly disturbed bythe mowing process shall be returned to its original placement and reseeded if turf was removed.H.Cleanup1.The vendor mustpick up limbs, litter, and foreign objects before mowing.2.The vendor mustpickupany litter mowed over before leaving the areaincluding mulching, air blowing, raking, and vacuuming.3.The vendor shallremove debris from storm water area drain(s). Clippings shall not enter the storm drains.4.The vendor shall air blow all walkways and parking areas in the work area.5.Fallen branches shall be collected and removed from the grounds as mowing is to occur or otherwise as needed throughout the term of the contract.
