Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intention of these specifications that the selected vendor provide to the City of Twin Falls programmed radios, radio programming software and hardware, encryption that follows the state standards, batteries, chargers, microphones, battery analyzers (for both testing and conditioning), installation and training. The equipment should have all the features of the P25 systems and be able to accommodate the current and future needs of our public safety departments. Please note the following: The radios must work with our existing UHF 450 MHz P25 trunked radio system. The existing system includes an Etherstack RFSS Controller with Tait TB8100 Duplex Base Stations. This network is subscriber agnostic. It is a standards-based solution and thus does not support Manufacturer specific features. The Radio manufacturer must be listed on the CAP web site (Approved Grant Eligible Equipment | Homeland Security (dhs.gov) ) and must provide the appropriate Self Declaration of Conformity (SDOC) certificate. The radios shall be P25 Phase 1. The radios may be Phase 2 capable. The radios shall meet the general standards and not have proprietary requirements. Equipment shall include over the air programming over P25 Trunked Radio Network. Radio Range should be specified. Radios shall have the latest firmware installed. Radios shall be configured for optimal handoff between the towers. The radio shall provide a proceed to talk tone. The radios shall provide an out-of-range tone. The radios shall display the Unit ID numbers. The radios shall be easy to use. The radios shall have an Emergency/Man Down Button. Each unit shall have 2 batteries, microphone, antenna, charger, and belt clip.
