Specifications include, but are not limited to: THIS PROGRAM WILL CONSTRUCT TAXIWAY K (VOLUME 1) AND RELOCATE RUNWAY 01 PAPI SYSTEM (VOLUME 2). THE PROJECT INCLUDES CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW 25’ WIDE BY 800’ LONG PARALLEL TAXIWAY TO RUNWAY 1-19 AND RELOCATION OF THE ENTIRE EXISTING FAA OWNED AND MAINTAINED NAVIGATIONAL AID PRECISION APPROACH PATH INDICATOR (PAPI) 4-BOX SYSTEM FROM THE EAST SIDE OF RUNWAY 01 TO THE WEST SIDE INCLUDING APPROXIMATELY 400 LINEAR FEET OF DIRECTIONAL BORING. TAXIWAY K CONSTRUCTION INCLUDES APPROXIMATELY 275 SY OF COLD MILLING, 6,500 CY OF EARTHWORK EXCAVATION, 3,000 CY OF P-209 CRUSHED AGGREGATE BASE COURSE, P-401 HMA PAVING OF APPROXIMATELY 650 TONS OF SURFACE COURSE AND 470 TONS OF BASE COURSE. THE PROJECT ALSO INCLUDES EDGE LIGHTING, SIGNAGE, ASSOCIATED PAVEMENT MARKINGS (INCLUDING A PREFORMED THERMOPLASTIC SURFACE HOLD POSITION MARKING), AIRFIELD LIGHTING CONTROL AND MONITORING SYSTEM (ALCMS) UPGRADES, GRADING, CLOSED DRAINAGE SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS AND SITE RESTORATION. THE PROJECT HAS BEEN DESIGNED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CURRENT STANDARDS OUTLINED IN THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION ADVISORY CIRCULAR 150/5300- 13A AND APPROVED ALP. CONSTRUCTION HAUL ROUTES AND STAGING AREAS WILL TAKE PLACE ON EXISTING ROADS, AIRPORT PAVEMENTS AND PROPERTY.
