Specifications include, but are not limited to: Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is asking for quotes in DESIGNING, SUPPLYING and BUILDING a post & truss style building at the MDT Wilsall Section, 2308 U.S. Hwy 89 N, Wilsall MT., 59086. Building is to be pre-engineered to meet all Local, County and State building codes. All work is to be done in compliance to building codes and materials shall be installed per manufacturer specifications. Builder/Supplier is to provide and pay for all proper building permits/plan review fees. Builder/Supplier to submit Stamped Engineering Drawing to MDT Facilities Bureau before work starts. Site preparation work at the above listed location will be performed by MDT prior to building commencement. Contractor is to provide all designs, labor, materials, equipment, incidentals and Local, State and County Building Permits necessary for the project, as well as carry workers compensation/exemption and liability insurance. Work site is to be neatly maintained and clean throughout project as not to interfere with MDT’s daily operations. MDT will: dispose of the spoils (if any), be responsible for supplying and placing finish grade materials inside and out of the building and provide and purchase/install the concrete ECO blocks. It is recommended that bidding contractors visit the site to access specific site conditions for the project. 2.0. BUILDING SPECIFICATIONS: Building is to be 50’ by 80’ clear span throughout. Building is to be a pre-engineered post/truss frame building open on one side with horizontal wall girts on three sides with metal siding application. Install metal wall panels from eave down 10’-0”. Gable ends of roof/truss system to be sided with metal wall panels. Roof and siding to be 29-gauge steel panels and all accessories for roofing to match. MDT will select color package. Interior space MINIMUM opening height from grade level to bottom of truss’s is to be 19’-0” throughout entire structure. Truss pitch to be 4/12 or 5/12. Provide all wall girts and truss purlins needed for metal wall/roof panel installation as required. Building code design loads for wind, snow and seismic need to be taken in as consideration for building site area. Structurally brace all trusses as required.
