Specifications include, but are not limited to: The goals and objectives of this project would be to: 2.1 Determine the best medical and sexual trauma screening tool for the needs of female youth in DCFS juvenile correctional care; 2.2 Work with the contractor on the best way to implement the medical and sexual trauma screening tool into facility practice; 2.3 Create buy-in with facility and parole staff; 2.4 Create policy and practices for the use of the medical and sexual trauma screening tool; 2.5 Train staff in the use of the medical and sexual trauma screening tool; 2.6 Implement the medical and sexual trauma screening tool to include screening all newly admitted female youth into Caliente Youth Center and while on community supervision (parole); 2.7 Review outcomes; and 2.8 Ensure the medical and sexual trauma screening tool is being used to fidelity after full implementation. 3. SCOPE OF WORK 3.1 A contract is being sought to conduct a project within an awarded federal grant, the Bureau of Justice Assistance’s FY19 Implementing the PREA Standards, Protecting Inmates, and Safeguarding Communities, that will fund efforts to ensure the Division of Child and Family Services adheres to federal law and PREA national standards regarding the prevention, detection and response to sexual abuse and sexual harassment in juvenile correctional facility settings.
