Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Internal Readiness Assessment will provide detailed and data-driven insight into the infrastructure and systems that influence UMF’s ability to complete a successful comprehensive campaign in support of the university’s strategic priorities. This will include a robust examination of the university’s structure, culture, experience, messaging, resources, staffing, metrics, support systems, processes, policies, and procedures as they relate to its ability to raise funds from alumni and the broader community. The assessment will also include recommendations on strengthening areas as needed. Findings from the Internal Readiness Assessment will inform the university’s decision to embark on a subsequent External Assessment (Part II of the Statement of Work below) that focuses on external factors and constituents relative to a campaign. This will include establishing a clear understanding of constituent attitudes and perceptions about the university and of their capacity and propensity to support UMF’s strategic priorities. The External Assessment will also yield data that assists the university in identifying potential campaign leaders and volunteers and informs the development of prospect lists and solicitation strategies. Additionally, this assessment will assist the university in developing and refining its campaign messaging and case for support. The university will also rely on the External Assessment to set a campaign goal, timeline, and budget in consultation with the selected consulting firm.
