Specifications include, but are not limited to: Security Services management staff will ensure that all scheduled security officers are briefed on the following requirements prior to their arrival for their shift. General Rules: Security staff will remain alert at all times both during rounds and at stationed posts. They will be a visible presence in the building. Security staff will not engage in non-emergency phone conversations, texting, or reading activity while on duty. Security staff will not receive visitors while on duty and will refrain from talking with other contracted entities. Security staff will not eat food while on duty. Security staff will not utilize state office equipment (computers, radios, televisions, etc.) without permission from the state. Security staff will not ask state employees or janitorial staff for money or to “make change” for them. Security Staff will escort state employees or janitorial staff to their vehicle upon request.
