Specifications include, but are not limited to: Scope of demolition work includes complete removal of the existing building and remaining contents, removal of the foundation walls and floor slab, and site restoration. Scope of demolition work includes remove and disposal of the existing steel fire escape stair tower on the west exterior of the building. Existing concrete, paver, and asphalt walkways, steps, and ramps leading to the building shall be removed in their entirety to a point where they meet existing walkways scheduled to remain. Foundation walls and slabs shall be removed as directed by the university. Cutting and capping of existing water and sewer service lines shall be as directed by the university and the utility. Removal of the concrete pad for the electrical transformer adjacent to the southwest corner of the building is included in the scope of work. Site restoration includes providing clean gravel fill, 6” loam cover, and strawmulched grass seed (50/50 rye and bluegrass mix) planting. Finish grading of the site to match the surrounding slopes and as directed by the university. Watering and maintenance of grass cover for two months from the date of demolition and site restoration completion to be provided by the contractor. Contractor to take care to limit disturbance of surrounding trees, shrubs, plantings, and lawns to only what is necessary to complete safe demolition operations. Removal of trees, shrubs, and plantings in the vicinity of the building shall be limited to only what is necessary to complete safe demolition operations. Disturbance of trees, shrubs, plantings, and lawns outside the building footprint shall be restored by the contractor to the satisfaction of the university at no cost to the university
