Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Program shall focus on family and community engagement and offer non-legal interventions with LEAs regarding different or unfair treatment of students, including disparate discipline, inequitable access to school programs, or other similar disputes or complaints. While the scope may change during the initial year, the main roles are providing assistance, support, and intervention to families. Those services shall include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: Creating family-friendly materials to ensure that schools and districts have information readily available to share with parents and students who need access to services and supports provided by the Program. Acting as a conduit between families and students, LEAs, and DOE as requested. Assisting families and students in navigating programs, services, policies, and procedures.
