Specifications include, but are not limited to: Facility Management, Division of Workforce Safety & Insurance (STATE) is soliciting proposals for commercial office cleaning services in our Fargo office. The Department wants assistance to provide daily custodial services. The cleaning service contractor will perform general office cleaning services to maintain 5,405 square feet in a neat, clean, and professional appearance. Services to be performed outside STATE business hours, five days a week excluding official state holidays. The cleaning contractor will provide all other cleaning equipment and supplies. See attached cleaning schedule for a detailed listing of tasks to perform. (Attachment 4) Cleaning service staff is to perform all of their daily tasks in a safe manner following all state and federal regulations and using all health safety measures such as universal precautions when coming in contact with any human body fluids or materials. The cleaning service vendor is expected to maintain a consistent level of cleaning performance. If cleaning concerns go unresolved for more than 72 hours, the contract can be terminated at the discretion of the STATE. If similar cleaning concerns are identified on four or more occasions, the contract can be terminated at the discretion of the STATE. The contractor must have a 24-hour emergency manned response service available. The contractor must be able to demonstrate that they have the equipment and staff to respond to fire, water or other types of emergency restoration services within a 1-hour notice. The contractor will be responsible for completing the criminal history record checks and for any costs involved. The contractor must relay any unfavorable results to the contract manager. Upon successful approval of the background check, employees must sign a confidentiality form prior to their first work shift.
