Specifications include, but are not limited to: Montana State University Bozeman University Information Technology, hereinafter referred to as “The University” and/or “MSU,” is seeking proposals for a commodity storage solution. The solution must be capable of meeting real-time storage needs for many concurrent users, and it must be scalable to greater than 1PB. The system should be redundant, resilient, scalable, and easy to manage for administrators. The solution must meet applicable system specifications as outlinedin this document.Proposals submitted in response to this solicitation must comply with the instructions and procedures contained herein.o User Storage: The solution must provide network-accessible storage to desktop users on the MSU campus network. It should use industry-standard protocols such as SMB.o Enterprise Storage: The solution should be capable of providing storage to multiple server systems, using protocols such as iSCSI, NFS, or Fibre Channel.o For both use cases, the solution should be redundant, resilient, scalable, and easy to manage for administrators. The solution should be scalable to at least 1PB, and the solution must meet applicable system specifications as outlined in this document.
