Specifications include, but are not limited to: A water line distribution coverage shall be developed by utilizing the following information in the hierarchy listed: 1) GIS files provided by the community water on file with NHDES (if available); 2) Record drawings on file with NHDES (if available); and 3) The existing buffered line GIS coverage currently utilized by NHDES.There are approximately 732 community water systems in New Hampshire. NHDES believes to have digital scanned maps/record drawings for approximately 577 community water systems with about 53 of these being in GIS format. NHDES continues to seek this information from water systems so additional record drawings may become available. NHDES current GIS buffered waterline coverage for community water systems includes information for approximately 680 community water systems.The data layers must show, at a minimum, distribution system pipe locations for community water systems in an editable line format. The attributes associated with each waterline must include the name of the associated public water system, the EPA identification number and information on the record drawing if available describing the size of the pipe, pipe material, and the age of the pipe. The drinking water service area mapping metadata shall include information on the source used and the date of the source.
