Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1.The State of Vermont is interested in obtaining bids to meet the following requirements for Pagers and Services. 2.1.1.Provide for alpha or digital pagers that have at a minimum, time and date feature of pages received, alarm notification feature to notify when page is received, and silent mode (or vibrate). All pagers will be labeled with serial, model and cap code numbers. 2.1.2.Statewide coverage within Vermont (list any areas not covered). 2.1.3.Two-minute pager response time. From the time the call is put into the paging system to when the pager is alerted is guaranteed to activate within 2 minutes. 2.1.4.Each unit is to be supplied with either rechargeable battery units or disposable battery design. 2.1.5.All pagers must be delivered in first-class condition or will be subject to refusal. No shipping and activation fees for new pagers or for replacement pagers. No Universal Service Fund fees. 2.1.6.Toll-free number with 24-hour, 7 days a week, phone support for troubleshooting pager problems. Preferably, a dedicated number assigned for this contract. 2.1.7.Upon request, a representative is required to consult with state agencies and assist them with ordering pagers with the appropriate options for intended usage. 2.1.8.When a malfunction is reported contractor will furnish a loaner or replacement unit within 24 hours of such notification. 2.1.8.1. Replace lost pagers for either a one-time replacement cost fee per unit or at a reduced rate for pagers that have insurance (both includes shipping). 2.1.8.2. If a lost pager is subsequently found, the credit to the account will be the same as the replacement cost.
