Specifications include, but are not limited to: Total depths are anticipated to be 200 and 300 ft. Actual completion depths will be determined based on conditions encountered during drilling. At both sites monitoring wells will be installed prior to the rotosonic coring under a separate contract, so the sampling intervals will be well defined. Both sites are underlain by unconsolidated sediments, including sand, gravel, cobbles, silt, and clay. The cored intervals are anticipated to be sand sized sediment, or finer; however, some gravel or cobbles may be encountered. Site 1 (Ottey) At this site Rotosonic core will be collected from approximately 70 ft to 200 ft. These sediments will likely be dominated by fine to medium sand. It is anticipated that this would be a small diameter (~3”) core. There will be no well completion at this site. Site 2 (Quigley) At this site Rotosonic core will be collected from approximately 100 ft to 300 ft. These sediments will likely be dominated by silt and clay. We also plan to use this boring to install a small well (2” or larger), so the core will need to be larger to meet the monitoring well requirements of the Montana Board of Water Well Contractors (MCA 36.21.701-810).
