Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide skilled police training consultant services to the Vermont Criminal Justice Council to develop curriculum relevant to 20 VSA 2366 (2) (e) (1) specific to the collection of data during traffic stops pertaining to race, data quality and consistency, as well as the relevance the data produced to Vermont law enforcement and the communities they serve. o This includes but is not limited to: Providing consultation on all aspects of the development and provision of traffic stop race data and Fair & Impartial Policing training for the Council. Establish an evidence-based training curriculum with lesson plans and training aids to be approved by the Council. Work with the data analyst to identify areas of concern in the quality of Vermont’s data set and establish training that addresses those… Creating monthly status reports for the Council and FIP Sub-Committee Work with stakeholders to ensure the needs of both the agencies and the public are met. Provide direct instruction in a classroom setting, and if needed via remote instruction. Provide technical assistance as needed to all Vermont law enforcement agencies as questions or concerns related to traffic stop race data collection arise to create a seamless process and deeper level of understanding of the importance of a complete/quality dataset.
