Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1:The Contractor will provide veterinary care for the restricted species at the WildlifeWaystation animal sanctuary. They will be the Department’s point of contact for animalhealth and welfare needat the Wildlife Waystation and will provide reports to theVeterinary Lead of the incident command as required.Task 2:The Contractor willconduct the examinations and testing needed for and issue certificatesof veterinary inspection (CVI) when indicated to meet export/transfer requirements for thepermanent placement for all restricted species currently cared for by the WildlifeWaystationand facilitate safe transport to those facilities. The Contractor will coordinateclosely with the Animal Placement team within the incidentcommand to schedule andfacilitate these movements. The expected timeframe for this to be completed isapproximately 10 months. The completion of this contract will occur once all restrictedspecies are placed in permanent homes or when veterinary contractservices are no longerneeded.Task 3:The Contractorwill provide input to assist theIC staff in the preparation of anevacuationplan for the facility in the event that an emergency occurs where all animals need to beremoved from the facility immediately, e.g. wildfires, floods, earthquakes, orother natural orman-made occurrences thatcould threaten the health and welfare of the animals, thepersonnel that care for the animals, or the facility.Task 4:The Contractorwill provide training or identify experts in the area that can providetraining to new staff or volunteers for animal care at Wildlife Waystation as needed.
