Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.Provide safe, transportation services “as needed” five (5) days per week, for GGUSD between the hours of 8AM to 5PM.2.Provide air-conditionedschool bus transportation services five (5) days per week, for GGUSDbetween the hours of 8AM to 5PM, where each seating position in the passenger compartment of all busses and vans is fully air conditioned. This will be accomplished by usingfully functional front and rear, or front and overhead air conditioning units inbusses. District will have the discretion of rejecting any van or bus not meeting the district’s requirements; contractor will replace the rejected equipment from the inventory available to the district and replace it with equipment meeting district requirementswithin five (5) days.3.Agree to be paid for services based upon the pricing set forth on the bid form price matrix.GGUSD will not be charged “over hours” for any delays due to contractor’s equipment failure or driver performance. There shall be no waiting time charge, no cancellation of trip charge. Contractor will confer with District on routes consistently over five (5) hours to determine if additional busses are necessary.4.Provide vehicles certified to handle students with disabilities including wheelchair accessibility and applicable seat safety restraints as necessary.5.Have the vehicles availability to serve GGUSD transportation needs.6.Provide vehicles that have annual CHP inspection records available.7.Provide twenty (20) passenger chair vehicles configured to have ten (10) seats and three (3) wheel chairs.8.Provide certified drivers with experience working with students with disabilities.9.Provide drivers who possess Class A or B California commercial driver licenses with passenger (P) endorsement and California special driver certificate (DL-45), as applicable.10.Provide drivers mustpossess a medical examinationcertificate, first aid certificate, and California Highway Patrol 292 inspection approval certificate.11.Provided drivers must be enrolled and cleared in the US Department of Transportation Clearinghouse program.12.Provide drivers who have twelve (12) months of driver time records available.13.Provide drivers who have the DOT-drug and alcohol policy records available.14.Provide driver consistency.15.Route and consolidate students to reduce drive time (must provide description of methodology acceptable to GGUSD)and provide actual routes drivenon a quarterly basis.16.Assign a certified driver instructor/contract supervisor to ensure consistent high-quality transportation services.17.Provide quality service incorporated into all of the transportation company’s processes from simple telephone inquiry to complex routing and dispatching resulting in consistent, accurate and professional service, reliabilityand performance.18.Comply with all regulations of the Orange County Taxi Administration Program (OCTAP).19.Be able to schedule, dispatch, track and manage a large number of daily trips throughout Garden Groveand surrounding areas.20.Have a technically sound, District-dedicated and cost-efficient electric trip management system which is consistently utilized by Contractor’s staff.
