Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University is seeking responses to provide administration for the life, AD&D and disability programs as defined in this document. In addition, the University is requesting proposals for potential outsourcing of their leave program. This document provides instructions for submitting responses, the procedure and criteria by which the Respondent(s) will be selected, and the contractual terms which will govern the relationship between the University and the awarded Respondent(s).The life, AD&D and disability programs have been insured by Lincoln Financial Group (formerly as Liberty Mutual) since 1/1/2014. Basic Life, AD&D and LTD are provided to eligible employees and paid for by the University. Voluntary life, AD&D and STD are fully paid for by eligible employees. Leave administration is currently administered in-house by the University. The University also provides life insurance to a closed class of retirees. Their benefit amount is based on an average of their highest three years of earnings, as outlined on the census provided. The University is looking to secure a partnership with a best-in-class insurance carrier who, in addition to performing standard administrative services, can provide case management, reporting and consulting on actionable items and ensure proactive outreach to shorten timelines. The selected partner should also provide federal/state/municipal compliance support for all locations and work with the University to manage the long-term financial stability of the plan. As the University is exploring the potential of outsourcing leave administration, the selected partner should display strong competence in leave management, specifically for clients moving from an in-house to outsourcing model. Finally, the selected partner should provide a dedicated account management team that canunderstand the University’s programs and procedures, including the uniqueness of their pay and time off policies, as well as the importance of the employee experience and culture.
