Native Infield Mix shall be clean, dry clay mixed with mason-type sand. All material must be free of any organic material and must meet the following minimum mechanical standards: Mechanical Analysis Soil Classification Range: Sand (0.05mm – 2.00mm) 25%-35% Silt (0.002mm – 0.05mm) 45%-65% Clay (less than 0.002mm) 5%-10% Infield Mix Sieve Analysis (% passing by weight) Sieve Size Result 1/4 “ (6.350mm) 100 5 (4.0 mm) 99 10 (2.000mm) 95 18 (1.0 mm) 90 35 (0.5 mm) 85 60 (0.250mm) 80 100 (0.15mm) 75 270 (0.05mm) 60 All mixes must be screened over a ¼ x ¼ inch square sieve and thoroughly mixed. Amount will be on an as needed basis with a minimum of twenty-eight (28) yards delivered at any given time to various field locations.
