Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Narragansett requests proposals from highly qualified, licensed, certified, and experienced contractors for the design, installation, and engineering services for a new liquefied propane fueled emergency power electrical generator to serve the Community Center. The Contractor shall design, furnish, install, and provide all labor, equipment, supplies, transportation, and engineering services for a new emergency generator system at the Community Center. The emergency generator system shall be of sufficient power to provide for maximum sustained electrical power requirements for the entire Community Center building. The generator system design shall be by a licensed engineer. Design shall include (confirming) generator size, concrete pad (structural, location, elevation, etc.), fuel supply (size, location, connections, etc.), and electrical conduits, sound attenuated enclosure, all connections (fuel, electrical, transfer switching, and controls), and appurtenances. All design documents and drawings shall be signed and sealed by a RI licensed engineer. Design shall be a full turn-key emergency electrical power system. Design shall be submitted to the Town of Narragansett for review and approval. Contractor shall incorporate Town design review comments. Contractor shall obtain all necessary state and local permits. The Contractor shall provide training to Town personnel for the operation and maintenance of the installed emergency power system and provide manufactuer’s operation and maintenance manuals. The Community Center is owned and operated by the Town of Narragansett, and is located at 53 Mumford Road (Tax Assessor’s Plat C, Lot 425C) in the Pier area of the Town. There is no elevator to service the second floor. The electrical loads are typical of a light duty (although widely used) commercial \ public building. The total square footage is approximately 9,340. The existing electrical service is 400 amp. Electrical service is single phase.
