Specifications include, but are not limited to: : Engineered wood fiber; product is manufactured engineered wood fiber comprised of softwoods and/or hardwoods, consisting of randomly sized wood fibers conforming to the ASTM specifications. Engineered wood fiber must prove to be non-toxic. It may not contain any recycled wood products or any wood containing paint, chemicals or additives. Bid response to include Toxicity Test Data. Engineered wood fiber to have minimal bark and to be free of twigs, leaf debris and other organic material. A letter stating the engineered wood fiber material meets all current playground safety standards and guidelines (i.e. IPEMA certified) to include Consumer Product Safety Commission Playground Safety Guidelines (CPSC) and American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) to be included with bid response. ASTM Testing Certification Manufacturer must be in compliance and provide testing data for the following standards as set forth by the ASTM for surface systems under and around playground equipment. • ASTM F1951-Method to Test Wheelchair Accessibility. • ASTM F1292-Method to Test Impact Attenuation of Safety Surfacing. • ASTM F2075-Engineered Wood Fiber Safety Surfacing. Manufacturer must carry 1 million dollars in product liability insurance. Manufacturer must have a written 2-year limited product warranty. A sample of the engineered wood fiber will be requested from the apparent low bid response. Sample must arrive by the date specified in the sample request or bid may be rejected. Quantity: 1,700 cubic yards. Bid response should reflect price per cubic yard. Bid response to include all costs associated to delivery to each of the locations as outlined in the attached file titled "IFB 2321 Delivery Locations.pdf" Delivery dates must be done between April 15, 2021 and May 15, 2021.
