Specifications include, but are not limited to: MODIFY INTERSECTION, TURN LANES, PCC PAVEMENT, ASPHALT CONCRETE SURFACING; US 14 & SD 20 (Locations 1-4) Calendar Day Count Completion Requirement At the 4 grading and roadway widening locations, identified in the plans as location 1-4, the Contractor will complete the grading and base course placement work at each location withing 30 calendar days per location. The Department will count and track calendar days and possible disincentive for each location separately. The Department will begin the calendar day count for each individual location when the Contractor impedes traffic to begin surfacing removal. The Department will continue to count calendar days until the Contractor completes the grading and base course placement work. The Department will count calendar days in accordance with Section 8.6 B. If the Contractor does not complete the work within the calendar day completion requirement for an individual location, the Department will make a disincentive assessment in the amount of $500 per calendar day. A contract item for incentive/disincentive pay is included in the bid schedule for the Department’s use in assessing disincentive. The Department will use a negative quantity of days for assessing disincentives. Asphalt Surface Treatment Interim Completion Requirement The Contractor will complete all asphalt surface treatment work (asphalt for surface treatment, Type 1A cover aggregate, and asphalt for fog seal) at the location 1, 2, and 4 portions of the project by the August 31, 2021 interim completion date. If the Contractor does not complete the work by the interim completion requirement, the Department will make a disincentive assessment in the amount of $500 per working day. A contract item for incentive/disincentive pay is included in the bid schedule for the Department’s use in assessing disincentive. The Department will use a negative quantity of days for assessing disincentives. The Department will count working days in accordance with Section 8.6 C
