Specifications include, but are not limited to: Youth ChalleNGE is a voluntary, 17 month (five-month residential) coed program designed to assist 16-18-year-old high school dropouts and at-risk students to graduate high school on time. It includes educational and life skill components. There are two 22-week programs each year (302 days). Additionally, officials anticipate a staff of approximately fifty (50), including an operations staff of twenty-two (22) team leaders, four (4) shift supervisors, one (1) commandant, and one (1) deputy commandant. Each class cycle will set a goal of about 100 male students and 50 female students. Students will only be able to leave the campus one weekend per session. Given its location, the program will fall under the directive of the Elko County School District, but applications will be accepted statewide. The Battle Born Youth ChalleNGe Academy seeks to contract with a Food Service Management Company (FSMC) to operate the following food services: National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), and the After-School Care Snack Program (ASCS). The selected FSMC will be responsible for the management of the food services staff, quality, control, training and development of staff, extensive, operational and technical support as well as financial management of the program. In submitting a proposal, the FSMC agrees that it will perform the work described in their RFP/Bid offer and Agreement in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations adopted or promulgated by any federal, state and/or county regulatory body or governmental agency. The Vendor will employ a minimum of 7 persons and provides food service to approximately 150 cadets at one (1) campus. The food service will prepare approximately 130,000 meals annually.
