Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department seeks to retain the services of a contractor to acquire low tide aerial photography of Southern Maine, post-process individual tiles, and create a seamless mosaic. The area of photography coverage should include a swath of the supratidal, intertidal and shallow subtidal (to approximately -20 ft Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW)) zones from the northern extent of Eliot to Dyer Point in Cape Elizabeth (Fig. 1, App. F). Nearshore islands including those in Saco Bay and seaward of Cape Porpoise are to be included in the survey area. Four-band (RGB and NIR) digital photography should produce image resolution at a Ground Sample Distance (GSD) of less than or equal to 0.30 m (1 foot), and horizontal positional accuracy less than or equal to 0.62 m (2 feet) Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). Photographs should be taken vertically, examined carefully for image consistency, and georeferenced.
