Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1.1. Mowing and trimming of grass at a minimum of once per week or more often as needed to maintain the maximum height requirement of four inches (4" maximum height). 1.1.2. Maximum of three (3) days for completion of mowing and trimming per week (weather permitting). 1.1.3. Grass pickup and disposal as needed or as requested by MDT personnel. Must be completed within 24 hours after notification. 1.1.4. Litter pickup and disposal minimum of once per week or more often as necessary to maintain litter free area. 1.1.5. Monitoring of irrigation system is required. Irrigation system will need to be monitored weekly by Contractor. Sprinkler repair and adjustments will need to be completed within 48 hours. All repairs of Sprinkler lines 2” and below will be done by Contractor. This includes repair/replacement of 2” or below Zone Valves. All work on Sprinkler/Zones will need to be completed within 48 hours. 1.1.6. Watering of grass (automatic timers) will be set by MDT personnel. Any request to change watering times must be approved by contacting the Department’s Maintenance Superintendent (contact information will be provided upon award). 1.1.7. Hillsides/slopes which are deemed too steep to mow must be trimmed once in the months of June, July, August, and September.
