Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this plan is to create an overarching document that assesses and makes recommendations to provide for sufficient parkland, trails, and recreation/ aquatics programs and facilities for Bozeman citizens. It will also guide the expansion of these essential services as the community grows and changes. The recommendations in the plan will be based on an updated review of community needs and priorities and may result in the revision of local development code requirements, procedures, and criteria. The work will also be used to analyze and make recommendations regarding the role of the parks, recreation, and active transportation systems in fulfilling the goals of recently adopted and applicable City of Bozeman plans and guiding documents or professional, industry metrics. Lastly, the plan will make recommendations and craft supporting documents to improve the efficacy of department tasks, including master park plan review, individual park site plan review, and recreational programming, cost-recovery and marketing.
