Specifications include, but are not limited to:. Montana State University is seeking a Contractor for Alarm Monitoring services for Montana State University - Bozeman. At present, Montana State University has approximately 1265 alarms connecting to 102 panels in 77 buildings. These alarms include fire, intrusion, environmental and general system administration type alarms. The resulting contract will bring the entire MSU-Bozeman alarm network under a single Contract administered through University Services at MSU. Primary responsibilities of the Contractor shall be to: Monitor existing alarms and respond in accordance with all applicable codes and terms of this Contract. Install new alarm systems and add alarms to existing panels. Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all alarm panels and alarm contacts other than fire alarms. Provide fire alarm maintenance support to MSU Fire Technicians through on-call services when requested by MSU. Provide access through web-based software and mobile applications for MSU staff to monitor all alarms and to control systems as appropriate. Coordinate with Departments, MSU Work Control and University Services Contract staff to assure new panels and alarms points are added and billed properly. 1.2 Alarm Monitor and Response There are currently approximately 1265 alarms connecting to 102 panels across 77 buildings. These alarms fit into the following classifications: Intrusion, Motion, Environmental, Fire Alarm, Holdup, Panic and Other. Appendix A provides a general overview of all alarms, panels, alarm, condition and call response required at the time of this RFP. The Contractor shall provide automated monitoring of all alarms and alarm panels from a center that is staffed 24 hours a day each day of the year. The Contractor shall monitor the alarms through an automated system that alerts an operator to an alarm event in compliance with all NFPA and MCA applicable standards. All Montana State University Alarms use DMP modules. The Contractor shall either utilize the existing DMP modules and take the necessary steps to reregister the modules under their company (must be currently or shall become a dealer) or replace all the DNP modules with a new module at their own expense using the same cellular network as the current alarms (AT&T). The Contractor shall be responsible for all costs associated with this work.
