Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this RFP is to solicit proposals from property owners who are willing to set aside units specifically to serve homeless veterans and their families within Washoe County. Homeless veterans must be eligible for VA health care services, participate in regularly required case management offered by the VA’s Healthcare of Homeless Veteran’s Program, and be offered participation in all appropriate services made available by the VA to be considered for HUDVASH participation. As a result, special attention must be given by applicants to the specific needs of the homeless veteran population and requirements of collaborating with the local VA to prevent avoidable evictions and increase housing opportunity and retention.
