Specifications include, but are not limited to: Electric Utility Engineering and Consulting Services for an Examination of the Design and Operation of the Maine Distribution Grid to Accommodate Distributed Resources and Future Load Growth The State of Maine Public Utilities Commission is seeking proposals for expert engineering and consulting services to conduct an in-depth, structured, and comprehensive examination of the design and operation of the electric distribution system in Maine to accommodate the integration and operation of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) in a cost-effective manner consistent with ensuring safety and reliability of the system. This examination should also include effects and considerations related to potential future load growth such as from electrification to meet climate change initiatives and objectives. The focus of the work will be on the systems of Maine's Investor-owned Transmission and Distribution Utilities, Central Maine Power and Versant Power Companies.
