Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Project willfinalize the design and then complete the remaining roundabout construction improvements at the George Elmer Drive / Cattle Drive intersection. Additional design and construction features to be completed include splitter/pedestrian refuge islands, height reduction of the existing water feature in the west leg of the intersection, bike lane jump offs (from the-on street bike lanes to the widened sidewalks and back onto the on-streetbike lanes), lighting, landscaping, center island and surrounding truck apron. These features will be incorporated into the Project and will be informed by the design of the Mullan BUILD Grant Project infrastructure leading up to and including this intersection. Engineering construction services maybe limited to staking and answering constructionrelated questions, but will depend on overall Project costs and available City budgets to design and construct the remaining improvements.Communications with Public Works & Mobilitystaff and other City departments are important components of the engineering service work. It is planned that the engineering design portion of this project will begin as quickly as possible and that construction will likely take place in the 2021construction season. Actual construction timing will dependonother planned construction work in the area, including Mullan BUILD Grant, Mullan Road Widening and nearby subdivision infrastructure projects. Public process is not anticipated to be included in the design work as City staff has completed the majority of the required public process. The selected engineering consulting firm will be required to follow City, State and Federal regulations.
