Specifications include, but are not limited to: Assist with the development of any necessary recruitment materials that promote the exceptional opportunities and benefits of the position and the strengths of UND (note that the position description has been developed recently by UND and the search firm will not be expected to prepare one). • Utilize formal and informal mechanisms for disseminating information about the search. • Adequately meet the needs of UND while attracting a competitive and robust pool of applicants that align well with the required and preferred qualifications for the position. The AVP PS & Chief of Police search committee does not request assistance in selecting applicants for advancement in the search process. The search consultancy is, therefore, limited to the development of an initial pool of applicants that meets, at minimum, the required qualifications for selection. We anticipate initial screening of candidates to begin in April 2021 and will continue this process until an acceptable pool of finalists is identified. We hope to forward a list of finalists for consideration by May 2021. Search Firms are requested to provide the following: • Experiential background and qualifications related to the expectations described above; • A list of at least three references who can speak to the ability of the search firm to perform the work required; • A detailed outline of the services to be performed; and • A detailed description of the direct and indirect costs.
