Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Nevada Department of Education (NDE) is in the process of upgrading its data management environment, starting with updating/replacing its Identity and Access Management (IAM) system. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is to understand the Security as a Service (SecaaS) IAM options which meet the NDE’s needs and requirements. The NDE will be on the AZURE cloud and would like to hear from security experts about how best to meet NDE’s needs. The NDE requirements include both required elements and those that might be thought of as nice to haves, both are defined below along with an explanation of the current configuration and goals of the project. The primary objective is to replace the existing Forms Based Authentication security access model with a new Identity and Access Management (IAM) system. Responses to this RFP will be used to identify current best practices and available solutions and will assist in establishing the criteria for replacing the current FBA system.
