Specifications include, but are not limited to: ITEM #1: QUANTITY: 4575’ - 1000 MCM 61 STRAND ALUMINUM WIRE a. The conductor to be 1000 MCM 61 strand aluminum wire. b. The conductor shall have an extruded semiconducting ethylene-propylene rubber that meets or exceeds the requirements of ICEA S-94-649, AEIC CS8, and CSA C68.5. c. The insulation shall be 220 mils 133% extruded okoguard that meets or exceeds the requirements of ICEA S-94-649, AEIC CS8, and CSA C68.5. d. The insulation screen shall be shielded with a semi-conducting ethylenepropylene rubber that meets or exceeds the requirements of ICEA S-94-649, AEIC CS8, and C68.5. e. Directly over the insulation shield, a 1/3 concentric neutral shall be applied consisting of 18 #.1052 or equivalent bare copper wires. f. Cable shall be identified on the insulation shield indicating manufacturer, year, size, conductor metal, insulation type and thickness, and voltage rating. g. Cable shall be suitable for continuous operation at a temperature of 90 degrees C and 130 degrees C for emergency overload conditions. h. Cable shall meet or exceed the latest revision of AEIC NO. 5 and ICEA S-66-534. i. Conductor to be supplied on non-returnable reels. j. Conductor to have an insulated polyethylene jacket applied over the insulation shield. k. Cable shall be delivered on (3) non-returnable reels of 1,525’ (+2% - 0%). The maximum reel flange shall be 68”.
