Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Nevada Purchasing Division on behalf of the Nevada Department of Administration, Division of Enterprise IT Services (EITS) is initiating a Request for Proposal (“RFP”) for IBM Mainframe and Unix hardware, software, leasing, and installation/consulting services. The determination for award will be made to the responsible proposer(s) whose proposal represents the best value to the State of Nevada by optimizing support, cost, and efficiency. The contract is for continued maintenance of AIX and Mainframe platforms that support the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services, Division of Child and Family Services, Department of Administration, Department of Public Safety, Department of Motor Vehicles, Governor’s Finance Office and other state entities and will include equipment refreshes, software maintenance, platform consulting, installation services, and migration services for the period of four (4) years starting in June, 2021 and ending in June, 2025. The platforms include IBM Power8 and Power9, V7000 and V5000 storage systems, z14-ZR1, DS8884 (disk storage) and TS7760 (virtual tape storage). The current Mainframe OS is z/OS.
