Specifications include, but are not limited to: Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) seeks applications from Eligible Applicants to create and maintain an AEL Career Pathway Professional Development Center (CPPDC). The CPPDC will collaborate with the Statewide PDC. The CPPDC will provide services to improve integration across WIOA Titles that serve priority populations through cross training of stakeholder groups such as Workforce Boards, IHEs, and Career and Technical educational providers in order to support system alignment and enhance employment and postsecondary outcomes. The CPPDC will provide research-based Professional Development (PD) to AEL Grantees and stakeholders on AEL Career Pathway models. These models include: • IET models for basic skills deficient individuals; • Integrated EL Civics for ELL, including: - internationally trained professional ELLs; - services for employer engagement for workplace literacy; and - PD to enhance corrections and re-entry services. For this grant, the Grantee will provide PD planning, design, and implementation services through a CPPD Institute. CPPDC will expand, consult, develop, disseminate, train, and provide research and evidence-based PD services for implementing quality Career Pathway models that support student success, system alignment among stakeholders, and improve state performance outcomes. Routine, concentrated, and sustained PD will be provided to AEL Grant Recipients and the Texas Workforce System to support expansion of quality Career Pathway models serving priority populations in Texas.
