Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Respiratory services shall be performed only by licensed Respiratory Therapists; apprentices or trainees are not acceptable.B. One hundred percent (100%) of clients determined to need respiratory therapy services shall be provided direct and indirect respiratory services at the frequency stated in the Individual's Program Plan (IPP) and as approved by the client's Primary Care Physician (PCP) and by the interdisciplinary team. Necessary modifications to the respiratory therapy services based on the client's condition and needs shall be prescribed and performed by the Respiratory Therapist. C. The Respiratory Therapist shall reevaluate and prescribe therapy as requested by the interdisciplinary team or the client's primary physician. D. The Respiratory Therapist shall report, at a minimum (monthly), the client's progress on stated therapy objectives. This requirement is based on the Code of Federal Regulation-Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disability (ICF/ID) 483.440 (e) (1) tagW252. E. The Respiratory Therapist shall participate in discharge planning by providing written input for clients being discharged from CHDC who have received direct and indirect respiratory therapy services
