Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project consists of the removal and replacement of seventeen existing multi-zone air handling units and roof curbs. New multi-zone air handling units and roof curbs will be installed with new piping from beneath the roof. Modifications to the zone headers are required. There are two single-zone air handler units in the gym building mezzanine level to be modified with new fan array supply fans and actuators for the relief air dampers. The existing heating and cooling coils on the two single-zone units shall be cleaned and flushed and new valves, accessories, and control valves to be installed. The existing chillers are to remain. The two existing boilers, cooling tower and their related pumps are to be replaced along with all the air conditioning controls, all the exhaust fans, all the fan coil-split systems, the air conditioning unit over the central plant and add two rooftop air conditioning units for the head-in room. The Contractor shall field verify and document the deactivation of fire dampers that are no longer required, clean all air conditioning ductwork from the air handlers down to the diffusers, and add new electrical connections and electrical repairs to all new and refurbished equipment. The Contractor shall also remove and replace the caulking at the exterior masonry control joints and install a new flat roof overlay system.
