Specifications include, but are not limited to: Fire Station The fire station will consist of an approximately 12,500 square foot new one-story structure for the Town of Sunnyvale. The building will include 3 apparatus bays, a fitness room, bunker gear storage, private sleeping rooms, private toilet/showers, day room, kitchen, patio, and a tornado rated safe room. The building will also include administrative space to accommodate a meeting room, public toilets, office space and a reception area. The site program will include a fenced fire fighter parking area with access to the drive through bays, enclosures for a back-up generator and waste receptacle, ingress and egress approaches, and a public parking area with accessible spaces. The building will comply with 2018 International Building Codes and the 2017 NEC with North Council of Governments amendments. LEED certification will not be required for this project. The building will be equipped with an automatic sprinkler system and fire alarm. The HVAC system will consist of interior air handlers with ground mounted condensing units. The foundation will incorporate a structural slab supported by drilled piers. The construction type will be non-combustible with load bearing metal stud walls and light gauge metal roof trusses at the living quarters. The apparatus bays will be constructed with 12” CMU walls and steel roof trusses. The exterior finishes will include natural stone, and cementitious board and batten siding
