Specifications include, but are not limited to: Desktop Environment The standard desktop PC is a Dell or Hewlett Packard (HP) running Microsoft Windows 10, X64 and Office 2016. The current web browsers utilized by MDT PC’s include Microsoft Internet Explorer (Version 11 and above), Edge Chromium, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. Network Services MDT Network Services are provided via Cisco routers, WAP’s and switches with 802.1x authentication. Standard network protocol at MDT Headquarters in Helena is 1 gigabit TCP/IP. Addresses are provided via DHCP and name resolution is via DNS. The departmental servers and vertical plant are connected via switched 10 gigabit Ethernet, hosted in State Data Center. WAN connected locations: 1Gb MPLS connections to Helena from Billings, Bozeman, Bozeman MSU Campus, Butte, Missoula, Kalispell, Great Falls, Wolf Point and Havre 200 Mb connections to Helena from Lewistown and Kalispell Armory 100Mb connection to Helena from Miles City and Glendive Dual 25Mb cellular connectivity to Helena from Billings Armory DSL, cellular or satellite connection to Helena from 28 motor carrier weigh stations, 100 section houses, and 20 construction trailers with 1-5 workstations in each. MDT currently has 1200 VPN enabled end points. Database Services MDT is currently utilizing Oracle 19c on Linux. MDT has additional databases on SQL server 2016, 2017 and 2019. Web Environment Microsoft IIS 8 and 10 on Windows Server 2012r2 and 2016, respectively. IIS servers are VM’s on a VMware 6.7 environment and include: Windows 2016 or Windows 2019 Tomcat running 8.5.53 and 9.0.33 Apache running 2.4.6-93, currently in the process of upgrading to 2.4.41 Proxy Environment: MDT has both DEV/TEST and PROD proxy servers; all servers are behind F5 appliance. All servers run Oracle Linux 7. Currently in the process of upgrading to Oracle Linux 8 Printer/Print Server Primarily HP networked printers. The Helena Print server is running on a Windows 2016 VM, District offices’ print server are currently Windows 2019 virtual server.
