Specifications include, but are not limited to: •Transferring and disposing both hazardous and non-Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) pharmaceutical waste, which includes but is not limited to•Physically going to all NHH unit medication rooms (up to 15 total) and NHDOC –central pick up (up to 3 total) at the following all locations: (NH State Prison for Men (NHSP-M), NH Correctional Facility for Women (NHCF-W), Concord, NH and the Northern Correctional Facility (NCF), Berlin, NH) to pick up pharmaceutical waste once (1) a month Monday through Friday between the hours of 8-3. •Providing replacement containers prior to the removal of any hazardous waste containers, which shall be:•State-of-th e-art disposable and reusable containers.•For NHDOC, each site will hold one of each container empty for replacement prior to moving full container to the central pick up.•Color-coded and labeled per requisite regulatory compliance for user-friendlydisposal procedures and processes.•Providing waste profiles, supplies, and safety data sheets. •Pharmaceutical Waste Compliance Staff Training and Education, which includes, but is not limited to:a.Experts who shall provide extensive training throughout all locations as required by the EPA (40 CFR § 265.16), the DOT (49 § 172.702 and § 172.704), and the NH Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) Hazardous Waste Rules (Env-HW 100-1200) to ensure adherence to pharmaceutical waste disposal compliance regulations. The Vendor shall:b.Provide training that focusses on:1.Correct collection of pharmaceutical waste.2.Reduction of the overall waste volume.3.Reduction of total expenditures.•Build a custom training titled, ‘The Pathway to Sustainability, Compliance, Cost Effective, Safe and Simple (SuCCeSS),’ which shall include, but not be limited to:a.Gathering a history of attempts-to -date by the State to comply with federal and state laws.b.Opening a robust dialogue between the State’s staff and Vendor experts regarding training needs.c.Developing a program that is highly customized, easy to understand, and will stand the test of time.
