Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of the Request for Qualification is to obtain the information as to the firm’s ability to provide an independent audit for fiscal year 2020 – 2021 and beyond based on the terms of a contract. The audit is to be performed to determine: • whether the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the respective financial position of the governmental activities, each major fund, and the aggregate remaining fund information of the District, and the respective changes in financial position and cash flows • whether the District has complied with the laws and regulations for those transactions and events that may have a material effect on the financial statements • whether the District is in compliance with the Texas Education Agency’s Financial Accountability System Resource Guide provisions
