Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1. Printing and Distribution Specifications2.1.1. Tabloid format trip size: 11-3/8” A 14-1/2”, folded to 11-3/8” x 7/14”. The State will entertain other size format recommendations which do not compromise readability for our subscribers. 2.1.2. 16-20 pages (with the likelihood of being printed on 16 pages) printed on non-toxic black ink incorporating color imagery on front and back pages (submit b/w and color with bids) 2.1.3. 12 issues per year are required2.1.4. Stock: 30 LB Kruger recycled newsprint. We may consider other sustainable paper sources. 2.2. Distribution2.2.1. Contractor will mail between 1,500 and 6,000 copies per issue under 2nd class permit.2.2.2. Permit will be paid by state and is not to be included in the bid amount. 2.2.3. Contractor will monitor USPA permit account and notify state in advance when additional funds are nneeded.2.2.4. State will provide an electronic file of addresses in zip code sequence. 2.2.5. Contractor will deliver issues to USPS, bundles in zip code sequence, for distribution to subscribers wi thin the first 1-3 days of every month. 2.2.6. Following distribution, balance of un-mailed newspapers will be sent to Vermont Agency of Agriculture, 116 State Street, Montpelier, VT 05620-2901.2.3. Additional Requirements 2.3.1. Contractor may be expected to work evenings and weekends, as needed, to meet deadlines. 2.3.2. Contractor must be, or be willing to become, a qualified contractor with the state’s Chief Marketing Officer. 2.3.3. Contractor shall interact directly with state representative(s) regarding printing and distribution questions and decisions. 2.3.4. Contractor shall coordinate with state’s design/layout contractor for effective and timely transfer of all filed needed for printing of each Agriview issue. 2.3.5. All products of the contractor’s work will become the sole property of the state and may not be copy righted or resold by the Contractor. 2.3.6. Contract agreement shall contain state designated Goals, Performance Measures and Outcomes.
