Specifications include, but are not limited to: The awarded contractor must have capacity to support Teachers of the Deaf (TODs), ASL Interpreters and Certified Deaf Interpreters who can provide consultative, individual and/or group services as needed based on student enrollment. Teachers of the Deaf (TODs) will provide both direct instruction and consultative services for students and staff. The TODs will have knowledge and experience in the support of equipment to support students with hearing impairments as well as instructional strategies to support students’ listening skills (if applicable), self-advocacy and learning. Interpreters will provide support to individual students who are in need of interpreter support to access their environment and instruction. Additionally, interpreters may be asked to provide support within various meetings including IEP meetings, specialist meetings and professional learning. All caseloads will vary based on the level of student needs and frequency/duration of services.
