Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.0Minimum Specification2.1Hopper type self-contained spreader designed to spread free flowing material. 2.2Must be suitable to mount in a ¾ ton pickup truck with a GVWR of 10,000 pounds and an 8’ styleside bed. 2.3Unit shall consist of a hopper, spinner assembly, feed conveyor, power drive, and all components necessary to make a complete operational unit. 2.4All stainless steel used in production of this unit shall be corrosion resistant, non-magnetic stainless steel. 2.5The manufacturing and production of this unit shall be of the best commercial practices and only materials of the finest quality are to be used. 3.0Hopper3.1The hopper shall be approximately 8’ long 50” wide and 34” high. 3.2The hopper sides shall slope not less than 45 degrees to insure free flow of material to the conveyor. 3.3The capacity shall be a minimum of1.4 cubic yards, water level full. 3.4Each hopper side shall be constructed from a single piece of 16-gauge stainless steel and be continuously welded to hopper sides. 3.5The complete hopper top edge shall be double crimped for additional support. 3.6There shall be a combination inverted vee / balance point lift hook located at the unloaded center of gravity. 3.7Integrated fork pockets to allow the unit to be installed or removed from the rear with a forklift.3.8A center-mounted brake light shall be available for hook up into the truck’s electrical system. 4.0DC Conveyor Drive 4.1Conveyor to be powered by a single ½ HP 12-volt DC motor4.2The conveyor drive motor shall be totally enclosed and sealed from the effects of corrosive chemicals. 4.3Peak current capacity to be maximum 80 amps. 4.4Conveyor drive motor shall be covered by a removable steel cover. 4.5Motor and wiring shall be protected by a circuit breaker. 4.6Conveyor drive motor shall be mounted at the rear of the spreader.
