Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide biometric functionality that: o Enables implementation of state-of-the-art Automated Biometric Identification Systems (ABIS) (e.g. 10 print, palm print, latent) applications and workflows including integration with the current LiveScan fingerprint and mug shot systems o Enables the incremental enhancement/addition/replacement of applications and workflows for friction ridge (finger, palm, latent), and facial data capture, iris, voice, scar, marks and tattoos, facial recognition and DNA biometric toolsets o Allows selection of best-of-breed applications from different vendors; provides for use of nonproprietary hardware, database software and open-standards application software interfaces o Stores integrated subject biometric data (captured via the various biometric toolsets) that enable online inquiries and reporting based on integrated subject biometric data ▪ Fingerprint data itself is not generally accessed, but rather the criminal history records that these are built upon. o Be sized for planned growth o Is Operating System (OS) agnostic and secure o Utilize ANSI/NIST/FBI record constructs o Conform to national and international biometric standards o Use Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware and software if available -we will consider other approaches, e.g. partnering with developers.
