Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Offeror will provide research and strategy in creating effective, creative, relevant, quality content for the DLR to create a mentoring toolkit for South Dakota businesses to utilize when implementing mentoring in the workplace. Toolkit resources ideas: 1) An introduction on the importance and benefits of mentoring in the workplace; 2) A toolkit for employers which will include the following information specific to mentor, mentee and the sponsor/business: a. Workplace Mentorship Program design structures including, but not limited to: i. Registered Apprenticeship Mentoring, ii. Career Development, iii. Leadership Development, iv. Mentoring for an inclusive workplace, v. Reverse mentoring for effective knowledge sharing; b. Roles and responsibilities of all parties; c. Implementation strategies; d. Identifying and preparing mentor i. Benefits, roles, responsibilities, expectations, ii. Qualities, skills, and abilities, iii. Mentor training opportunities within SD; e. Program evaluation; f. Best practices and tools i. Matching mentor/mentee, ii. Ongoing support of relationship, iii. Policies, iv. Procedures, v. Forms; 3) Legal expertise as it relates to creating a workplace mentoring program, including sample policies, procedures and best practices to incorporate mentoring in the workplace ; 4) Communication guidelines on how to mentor younger generations or other generations. Help businesses understand generational differences in how it relates to workforce, and how to teach communication skills to younger generations; 5) A facilitators guide designed for both the business and DLR staff to aide in incorporating mentoring in the workplace.
