Specifications include, but are not limited to: This work consists of a thorough inspection of vehicles, product QA audits pertaining to the safe and reliable operation of the vehicles in transit service. OCTA considers the Contractor’s ability to plan, communicate and execute this service as a critical element of the bus procurement process. Contractor shall be thoroughly knowledgeable of the following references, and regulations as they pertain to the service requirements and its implications under the agreement: 1. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), 49 CFR 668 Bus Testing, United States Code (USC) 2. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), 49 CFR, Part 571 – Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. 3. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), 49 CFR, Part 38 – Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accessibility Specifications for Transportation Vehicles Contractor should also be familiar with and ensure the vehicles are in compliance with all applicable standards set forth in the following California Regulations: 1. California Vehicle Code, Division 12 – Equipment of Vehicles (Sections 24000 – 28150). 2. California Code of Regulations, Title 13 - Motor Vehicles, Division 2 - Department of the California Highway Patrol SERVICES REQUIRED Contractor shall provide, at a minimum, the following services under this agreement: A. All Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) requirements/compliance among others. B. Technical Configuration Certification and Reports C. Vehicle Production Inspections and Quality Assurance Reports for each vehicle. D. Pre-Delivery Inspection and Road Test QA Reports for each vehicle. E. Conditional Acceptance Testing at the Manufacturer’s plants and test reports.
